| 1 min 35 sec, single-channel video, stereo sound. Installation and screening versions available. A hand holding a paper coffee cup enters the frame. An image of New York's skyline is printed on the cup's outer surface. The hand looses its grip. The coffee cup hits the ground, leaving blood like splatters. Suddenly the earlier event is reversed and the cup jumps back to the hand. An uncanny female voice reads out loud the writing on the cup's surface: I love New York. Can reversed video footage erase the earlier accident? |
